Workplace Mental Health Training

Arpeggio Health Services offers a variety of training programs that are appropriate for the workplace. Many organizations favour Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and The Working Mind (TWM) as they're both standardized programs carrying certification through the Mental Health Commission of Canada. The difference between the two? We like to say that MHFA teaches participants how to throw a life ring to someone who might be drowning, while TWM is about learning how to swim. In other words, MHFA is primarily responsive (teaching how to recognize and respond to signs of mental unwellness) while TWM is primarily proactive (teaching how to promote and retain positive mental wellbeing and resilience).
If your organization has a need for training related specifically suicide as opposed to broader mental health support concepts, both in person and virtual suicide prevention training is available as well.

We also offer introductory programs on mental health in the workplace and resilience, many of them free and usually an hour or two in length. This provides an opportunity to see what we're all about and get a feel for what the experience is like when you or your team choose to train with Arpeggio Health Services. Many organizations feel overwhelmed by the pressure to adopt psychological health and safety practices and we pride ourselves on breaking it down into digestible pieces for you. To building on our earlier analogy, if MHFA teaches you how to rescue someone who's drowning and TWM teaches people how to swim, psychological health and safety is the process of putting rails and other safeguards on the boat so people aren't feeling overboard to begin with!
All of our programs are available for private delivery, so if you're considering this please get in touch! You can expect a seamless booking process and high caliber delivery of our programs, where participants not only enjoy their training experience but leave feeling empowered to take meaningful action on what they've learned.
